Andrew Gates
From a small North Texas town to the forefront of AI at Google, Andrew's tech journey is anything but ordinary. Starting as a self-taught programmer on an Apple II+ at age eight, he skipped college to join Microsoft for the Windows 95 launch, then spent decades building a global career. He's lived and worked across five continents, helping establish Accenture's offshore development in the Philippines, serving as an enterprise architect for major financial institutions and media companies, and working in DevOps at Broadcom. Now at Google, he's immersed in the AI revolution.
Alongside his global career, Andrew and his wife, whom he met in New York City, are raising three sons in the Texas Hill Country with a giant Bernese mountain dog. His diverse experiences, from early coding to international enterprise architecture and now AI, give him unique insights into the technology's transformative potential."
