Steven Moore is Bartlett Cocke Regents Professor of Architecture and Planning at the University of Texas at Austin where he teaches design and courses related to the philosophy, history, and application of sustainable technology. He is Director of the graduate program in Sustainable Design and Co-founder of the University of Texas Center for Sustainable Development. He is the author of many articles and four books on the topic of sustainable architecture and urbanism: Technology and Place (2001), which received the EDRA/Places award for research in 2002; Sustainable Architectures, co-edited with Simon Guy (2005); Alternative Routes to the Sustainable City (2007); and Designing: from philosophy to ethics, from engineering to architecture, edited with Peter Kroes, Pieter Vermass, and Andrew Light (2007).
